(16:04) Decentralized Finance Lowers Barriers to Entry
I wrote an article a couple of weeks ago about how DeFi as a whole, it’s a buzzword nowadays, with people making insane returns on investments. After researching I have figured out that DeFi has the power to allow people to invest and gain higher returns.
It also provides a way for people to have access to these financial tools who may not have the documentation to get a bank account or have the documentation to get resources like loans or down payments on a house.
But crypto doesn’t have that discrimination. Anyone around the world, no matter who you are, can participate in the global economy with this whole space, which I think is super dope, super cool.
(17:12) Beyond Survival
We can’t create sustainable systems if people are in complete survival mode. This book, Dead Aid by Dambisa Moyo, talks about when a number of people reach a certain level of income they can now look outside of themselves to make their communities better.
Author Dr. Dambisa Moyo was named by Time Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” and was named to the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders Forum. Her work regularly appears in economic and finance-related publications such as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal.
